Reform UK is a right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom

The party is currently led by Nigel Farage, who became leader in June 2024. Farage co-founded the party in 2018 with Catherine Blaiklock under the original name The Brexit Party. It was launched to campaign for a no-deal Brexit, quickly gaining traction. In the 2019 European Parliament elections, the Brexit Party secured the most seats of any UK party. However, it failed to win seats in the 2019 UK General Election.

Following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union in January 2020, the party shifted its focus. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Farage and Reform UK became vocal critics of the Conservative government’s national lockdown measures, positioning themselves as a major anti-lockdown and pro-freedom voice in British politics.
